AEG HKB95450NB (59) 5 Burner 88cm Gas on Glass Hob with Cast Iron Pan Supports - (Tatty Packaging) - HW182859

FlameLight – visual control of gas cooking

AEG's innovative FlameLight technology uses bright red LED indicators to display the selected flame level, making gas cooking more intuitive.

Unlike conventional gas hobs that rely entirely on the visible flame and the position of the control knob, FlameLight provides a clear indication of the selected power setting.

The system displays levels 1 to 9 and indicates whether a burner is switched on or off, helping users monitor several pans at once.

StepPower – nine defined heat settings

The HKB95450NB features AEG StepPower technology, allowing the flame to be adjusted through nine distinct power levels.

This makes it easier to reproduce cooking results, whether gently simmering sauces, preparing delicate dishes or using higher heat for frying and boiling.

Rather than continuously guessing the correct flame position, users can select a defined setting and return to it when preparing the same recipe.

Powerful 4kW central wok burner

The hob includes a 4,000W central wok burner, offering additional heat for high-temperature cooking.

This burner is especially useful for stir-frying, searing meat, rapidly boiling water and preparing larger quantities of food.

The five-burner configuration provides a choice of heat outputs:

Burner position Output Burner diameter

Left front 2,000W 80mm

Left rear 2,000W 80mm

Centre wok burner 4,000W 128mm

Right rear 2,000W 80mm

Right front 1,000W 65mm

Total gas output 10,500W

The 1kW auxiliary burner is suited to smaller pans and gentle simmering, while the three 2kW burners provide versatile everyday cooking capacity.

Hob2Hood – automatic cooker hood control

The integrated Hob2Hood system enables wireless communication between the gas hob and a compatible AEG extractor hood.

When cooking begins, Hob2Hood can activate the cooker hood and automatically adjust extraction speed in response to cooking activity.

This reduces the need to operate the extractor manually while preparing meals.

Important: Hob2Hood requires a compatible cooker hood. It does not mean that the hob itself contains an extractor fan.

Residual heat indicators

The HKB95450NB includes LED heat indicators to help identify when pan supports may still be hot after cooking.

This is particularly useful with cast-iron supports, which can retain heat after the gas flame has been extinguished.

The indicators provide additional visual safety information, although the supports should still be treated as hot until they have cooled sufficiently.

Cast-iron pan supports

Three robust cast-iron pan supports provide a stable platform for cookware across the five burners.

AEG incorporates silicone feet to improve stability and help prevent movement or slipping on the glass surface.

The pan supports complement the hob's black glass finish, creating a professional appearance suited to contemporary fitted kitchens.

Minute Minder

An integrated Minute Minder allows users to set a cooking reminder while preparing meals.

This is useful when timing different dishes, simmering ingredients or coordinating several pans.

The Minute Minder is a reminder function, rather than a system that automatically turns off the gas burners.

Flame-failure safety protection

Each gas burner incorporates thermocouple flame-failure protection.

If a flame is accidentally extinguished, the safety system interrupts the gas supply to the affected burner.

This is an important safety feature for gas cooking in UK homes

The AEG HKB95450NB 8000 Series FlameLight Gas-on-Glass Hob is a premium 90cm, five-burner built-in gas hob combining precise flame control, contemporary black glass styling and intelligent cooker hood connectivity.
